Third Sunday in Advent (Cycle A)
December 16th is the Third Sunday in Advent. The Third Sunday in Advent is also known as Gaudete Sunday because of the first word of the Entrance Antiphon at Mass (Gaudete, i.e. Rejoice). The liturgical color is rose which emphasizes the joy that Christmas is near.
