January 27th is the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Gospel reading from St. Matthew recounts the beginning of Jesus' ministry in which he began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Then he calls Peter, Andrew, James, and John to follow Him and become fishers of men.
