The Cardinal Kung Foundation provides "information about the persecution of the Roman Catholic Church in Communist China and seeks to help the Roman Catholic Church in China, now under persecution, through increased prayers, financial support and other appropriate projects." In 1957, the Communist Chinese Government declared the Roman Catholic Church illegal and replaced it with a goverment controlled organization. The Church in China has been facing intense persecution since. This site is a good way to become informed about the persecution, and to find out what everyone can do to help.
