Link of the Week: National Shrine to St. Joseph

St. Joseph with the Child JesusSaint Michael’s Abbey, Farnborough, is a contemplative monastery of monks of the Benedictine Order about thirty miles from London, England. The monks live the Benedictine life in its classic or 'continental' form. At the heart of their life is the solemn celebration of the liturgy, sung in Latin to Gregorian Chant.

The website is a door into their cloister. They hope that by sharing their life and work through this medium, visitors will learn something of the joy and peace that attracted them to this family, and come to appreciate the strength and vigor of the Lord’s call in our age.

The abbey also has the largest relic of England's Protomartyr—St. Alban—a thigh bone in a beautiful reliquary on the Altar of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
