The Servant of God Pope John Paul II will be beatified on May 1, 2011 at St. Peter's Basilica.

The mission of the Pope John Paul II Forum for the Church in the Modern World is to promote a broader and deeper understanding of the thought of Pope John Paul II and to facilitate its application to contemporary issues. It is the hope of the Forum to highlight and to make accessible the great work and vision of Pope John Paul II to the university community, Houston and the nation.
